Senior Java Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications. In this role, you will work across both front-end and back-end technologies, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS to build robust, efficient solutions. You will play a key role in the software development life cycle, contributing to architectural decisions, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products. If you have a passion for coding, problem-solving, and working with modern web technologies, we’d love to have you on board.

Location: McLean - VA (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Able to deliver end to end project.

Experience with java development and aware of java patterns.

Experience in Spring Boot and Microservices uses for development.

Experience of development project and developed functionalities using java, j2ee.

Agile/scrum development experience.

Good collaboration and communication skills.

Ready to learn new technologies and perform POC on it.

Ability to diagnose prod issues and defects.

Qualifications

· 8+ years of Core Java development experience, familiar with Java 7 or higher.

· Experience with java development and aware of java patterns.

· Well versed in Java/Spring/Spring boot stack.

· Experience and expertise in AWS and cloud technologies – ECS, Docker, Lambda, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, Dynamo DB

· Knowledgeable in System Design – Performance Engineering, Vertical/Horizontal Scaling, Application Security, and other Non-Functional aspects

· Experience in relational database with schema design and queries.

· Experience in NodeJS, Angular, HTML, CSS to design/develop rich and responsive user interfaces.

· AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, AWS Cloud watch etc.)

· Experience on AWS deployed application.

· Must have AWS experience.

· Must have Angular experience.

Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
