About the role
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Service Desk App Support and will work during the day shift. This role does not require travel. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless app support and contribute to the overall efficiency of our systems.
In this role, you will:
- Install and configure hardware components such as servers, routers, and switches
- Work on the installation and upgrade of IOS, OS, ESXi
- Help to replicate or build configurations based on customer requirement.
- Install and network of Managed Power Distribution Unites mPDUs
- Cable management, including running, organizing, topology clean-up, and labelling network cables
- Solving and Break Fix Tasks
- Conduct basic diagnostics to identify hardware issues.
- Network debugging, tracking layer 1 to 3 issues.
- Router, Switch, installation and Upgrade experience.
- Rack & Stack, PDU installation experience.
Work model:

What you need to have to be considered
- Possess a strong understanding of service desk application support and related technologies.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Exhibit strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively interact with team members and end-users.
- Have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
- Experience with hybrid work environments and the ability to manage tasks independently.
- Familiarity with system integration processes and best practices.
These will help you stand out
ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent in-service management.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until July 14, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $55,000 to $65,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
