Technical Agile Coach, Sr. Consulting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Agile Coach with a strong background in DevSecOps, Cloud, or AI/ML to drive agile adoption, engineering excellence, and technical transformation across teams. This role requires a unique blend of coaching acumen, hands-on technical expertise, and strategic guidance to help our teams deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions.

In this role, you will:

Agile Coaching:

  • Coach teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leadership on Lean-Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, LPM), and mindset.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, workshops, and agile maturity assessments.
  • Drive Agile at scale using SAFe, LeSS, or similar frameworks.

Technical Enablement:

  • Guide engineering teams on implementing DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, IaC, SAST/DAST, and automated security testing. (or)
  • Provide hands-on support or advisory on Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) architecture, deployment pipelines, and cloud-native development. (or)
  • Support AI/ML model lifecycle management, MLOps practices, and responsible AI frameworks (if AI/ML is the focus).

Transformation & Strategy:

  • Collaborate with technology leaders to align agile practices with business goals.
  • Lead communities of practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build metrics and dashboards to track flow, quality, and value delivery.

Mentoring & Training:

  • Mentor engineers and architects on agile technical practices like TDD, BDD, pair programming, trunk-based development.
  • Provide training on Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps, Cloud engineering, or AI/ML pipelines as required.

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring four days a week in a client or Cognizant office. What you need to have to be considered

Agile Coaching:

  • ICAgile Certified Professional – Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC)
  • Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Agile Coach
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC)

DevSecOps:

  • Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP)
  • DevOps Institute certifications (DevSecOps Foundation, DevOps Leader)

Cloud:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect – Professional
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

AI/ML:

  • TensorFlow Developer Certificate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty

These will help you stand out

  • Familiarity with Team Topologies, DORA metrics, or Value Stream Management (VSM).
  • Exposure to compliance and security practices in regulated environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and lead by example.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for learning and coaching.

Work Authorization

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $98,853-158,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
