Senior Developer (C++)
As a seasoned C++ developer, you will lead the modernization of the Perseus kernel through re-platforming and containerization, while driving performance optimization on AWS compute environments. This role demands technical depth in HPC systems, build automation (CMake), and parallel computing. You'll mentor peers, integrate cutting-edge data and scheduling solutions, and contribute to high-performance, scalable software architecture. Your expertise in modern C++ (17/20), performance profiling, and operating system internals will be essential to advancing Perseus’ next generation.
Roles/Responsibilities:
* Leading the re-platforming and containerization of the Perseus kernel.
* Optimizing C++ code for performance on AWS compute instances.
* Mentoring other C++ developers on HPC best practices.
* Integrating the Perseus engine with new job scheduling and data services.
* Writing and maintaining build scripts (CMake).
* Developing performance-critical components.
* Assisting in the containerization of Perseus components.
* Writing unit tests for C++ code.
* Learning the HPC build and deployment process.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $55K – $114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
