About the role
As a Drupal Technical lead Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage technical requirements, and drive DevOps practices using tools like Azure DevOps, AWS, and Docker. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone passionate about CMS architecture, performance optimization, and delivering enterprise-grade digital experiences.
In this role, you will:
· Have a minimum of 5+ years of core hands-on experience in Drupal CMS (preferable Drupal 9/10.x hands-on experience). Overall experience 9 -15 years.
· Have excellent team management skills to interface with multiple teams and stakeholders.
· Handle performance optimizations for desktop and mobile using tools like lighthouse
Work model: Hybrid

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Plano, TX. What you need to have to be considered
• Experience in headless implementations using Drupal and any front-end framework (React knowledge is preferred)
• Hands on experience in custom module development, Rest API for 3rd party integrations
• Knowledge in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in handling application security, best practices and standards
• Experience in managing SSO using Okta or any IAM tools
• Hands on experience creating themes using Bootstrap framework
• Development experience using Twig templates
• Knowledge using Single Directory Component (SDC)
These will help you stand out
• Experience in technical requirement gathering, estimations, handling proposals, creating HLD, preparing solution architectures
• Knowledge in AWS and Docker containers
• Experience in handling multi-site
• Excelling written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge/Familiarity using Gen AI

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $120.500 - $141.500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
