Business Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with various stakeholders to understand, negotiate, and prioritize product requirements in line with our strategic objectives and the agile methodology.
  • Utilize usage metrics, desktop research and business impact assessments for prioritization decisions in product and platform development, focusing on feature and component reusability for multiple business use cases.
  • Translate business needs into detailed requirements for development teams, formulating user stories and maintaining documentation on our wiki.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Tech Leads to synchronize product development with sprint goals and timelines.
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle, working closely with designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure excellence in quality deliverables for each sprint.
  • Develop and manage UAT test cases with business partners, ensuring thorough issue tracking and resolution.
  • Handle multiple product initiatives concurrently, maintaining a focus on scalability, integration, and platform building with an emphasis on feature and component reusability.
  • Proactively report to the digital product management team, offering insights and updates on product development progress.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years solid platform building experience, with a strong emphasis on feature and component reusability.
  • Extensive experience working with Agile teams; Scrum-related certification holder is a plus.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with in-house and vendor development teams across Hong Kong, Mainland China, the United States, and India in an agile environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience in crafting user stories for both front-end and back-end systems, including non-functional requirements with considerations of system scalability, security, and performance under heavy load.
  • Ability to manage multiple product initiatives with strong organizational and time-management skills while embracing agile practices.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Hong Kong.
