IOT Service Line Sales Senior Director – CMT
We are seeking a Service Line Sales Manager with deep technical expertise, a problem-solver who can lead growth in our industry focused solution sales efforts, concentrating on CMT and IoT Services sectors within Cognizant. The role will serve our portfolio of clients in our Communications and Technology industry which includes MNOs & MSOs, Telco, Hi-tech / Semiconductors / OEMs and ISV customers.
We are looking for a sales and technology leader with experience in Product Engineering, Hi-Tech, and Communications Engineering. We need someone who can come up with effective strategies to increase sales, lead a team of senior sales leaders, and help Cognizant succeed by solving problems.
This candidate should have demonstrated ability in crafting, shaping and driving transformative deals in the IOT and ER&D/Engineering market. We are seeking someone with experience in thought leadership and senior level connections with collaborators in the CMT market. Executive gravitas, and ability to drive and mentor a high performance team are essential. Responsibilities include consistent success in exceeding sales targets, and excellence in achieving both annual revenue and margin targets.

In this role, you will
- Encourage and mentor the sales team to elevate their performance and achieve targets.
- Crafting sales strategy and plan for pipeline generation.
- Responsible for Sales, Business Development & Customer Relationship activities for the CMT Vertical.
- Management of the account plan, investing time in strengthening existing client relationships and strategic new clients.
- Proactive proposals and RFP in line to account strategy
- Partners with internal leaders for solution creation and execution.
- Achieve annual revenue & profitability targets.
- Work in a matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals.
- Collaboration with Vertical teams, develop strong, long-term relationships with executives.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process.
- Demand fulfillment, collaborating with HR / Ops, Offshore Teams
What you need to be considered for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience with at least 10 years in a Business / Sales role in Product Engineering, industrial automation, Network Engineering across multiple industries
- Experience with large scale consulting engagements
- Ability to appreciate and work on 360-degree aspects around a Product development life cycle for Network Engineering, Devices, Wireless / Wireline, Data Communications.
- Deep understanding of technology with ability to find technical solutions to business problems and engage the potential customer with “consultative selling” is essential.
- Experience selling Engineering Services
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills are required.
- Ability to interface at all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge of industry trends, customer growth strategies, potential opportunities in various Technologies like Edge intelligence, Device Engineering, SDN, 5G, OSS\BSS, PLM, Mesh Networking, WiFi, Technology migrations is a must

The annual salary for this position is between $230,000 - $290,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
