Lead Java Developer (Onsite)
The Lead Java role is pivotal in driving technical excellence within our organization. With a focus on AWS Database and SQL Spring Framework Spring Core Spring Boot and Advanced Java the candidate will contribute to innovative solutions that enhance our services. Ideal candidates will have 8 to 11 years of experience and domain expertise in Cards & Payments is beneficial.
Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ.

Onsite position, 5 days a week at the office.
Roles, Responsibilities and Required Qualifications.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS Database and SQL Spring Framework Spring Core Spring Boot and Advanced Java to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient software architectures that align with company goals.
- Ensure the performance security and reliability of applications by conducting thorough testing and optimization processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Analyze complex technical problems and devise innovative solutions that enhance system functionality and user experience.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure alignment to best practices and high coding standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate them into the development process for competitive advantage.
- Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and actionable tasks.
- Contribute to the documentation of software designs processes and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.
- Implement automated testing and deployment strategies to streamline development workflows and improve software quality.
- Engage in troubleshooting and debugging activities to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.
- Optimize database queries and structures to improve application performance and data retrieval efficiency.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure software solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable impact. Qualifications
- Possess strong expertise in AWS Database and SQL Spring Framework Spring Core Spring Boot and Advanced Java demonstrating a track record of successful projects.
- Have a deep understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies ensuring efficient project execution.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively in high-pressure situations.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and collaborators.
- Show proficiency in domain skills related to Cards & Payments enhancing the ability to deliver tailored solutions.
- Maintain a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and industry standards.
- Display a commitment to quality and attention to detail in all aspects of software development.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer
Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337– $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
