Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Project Manager with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Monitor project progress and take proactive measures to address potential risks and delays.
  • Ensure project milestones and objectives are met on time and within scope.
  • Organize and lead Scrum of Scrums meetings to coordinate efforts across multiple agile teams.
  • Foster collaboration, resolve cross-team dependencies, and ensure alignment on project goals. Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Navigate organizational politics and processes to remove blockers and drive project progress.
  • Engage with senior leadership, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment. Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks proactively. Implement contingency plans and escalate critical issues promptly when necessary.
  • Leverage a strong technical foundation to understand complex system architectures and integration points.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in technical project management, preferably within the retail order fulfillment domain.
  • Preferable experience working with IBM Sterling Order Management/Inventory Visibility.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to facilitate Scrum of Scrums.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate organizational politics and drive outcomes.
  • Expertise in project planning, tracking, and risk management.
  • Technical proficiency to engage with engineering teams and understand system-level designs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: PMP, CSM, or SAFe Agilist.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of modern retail technology stacks, order management systems (OMS), and supply chain logistics.
