Role: NCR POS Product Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineering Lead with 10 to 14 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in POS Testing POS Basics and Postman. Experience in Menu Engineering is a plus. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can drive product engineering initiatives and contribute to the company’s success.
Responsibilities
• Lead the product engineering team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.
• Oversee the development and implementation of POS Testing strategies to ensure product reliability.
• Provide technical expertise in POS Basics to guide the team in developing robust solutions.
• Utilize Postman for API testing and ensure seamless integration of various system components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product engineering efforts with business goals.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Implement best practices in software development to enhance product performance and maintainability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all product engineering activities.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to foster a culture of learning and growth within the team.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues to ensure smooth product operations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Qualifications
• Possess a strong background in POS Testing with a proven track record of successful implementations.
• Demonstrate expertise in POS Basics to effectively guide the engineering team.
• Proficient in using Postman for API testing and integration.
• Experience in Menu Engineering is a plus providing valuable insights into product development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers fostering a positive team environment.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality products within specified timelines.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to product engineering.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor project progress and ensure successful delivery.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize engineering processes.
• Experience in conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Proactive and self-motivated individual with a passion for product engineering.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
