Performance Engineering with DB Performance Tuning
Location: Austin, TX
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years of professional work experience in performance engineering with exposure in SAP systems
• Strong experience in performance testing of SAP applications
• Should have exposure on S4 HANA implementations
• Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning of DB and SQL queries
• Experience with APM tools like Dynatrace, AppD and Splunk
Roles/Responsibilities:
• Define, develop, and apply performance and scalability benchmarks to ensure optimal system functionality.
• DB performance tuning, Log analysis
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to characterize, debug, and enhance system performance and scalability across various components.
• Utilize profiling tools efficiently to identify performance bottlenecks, providing in-depth root cause analysis.
• Design and conduct experiments to assess the performance impacts of system modifications and enhancements.
• Plan, execute, and analyze performance tests using an automated testing environment, ensuring comprehensive result evaluation.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews of complex solutions across teams, owning the quality perspectives for the design and contributing to cross-team engineering efforts.
• Oversee performance engineering for SAP systems, ensuring optimal efficiency and stability.
• Perform performance testing on SAP applications, analyzing the results to drive improvements.
• Contribute to the successful implementation of S/4 HANA, focusing on performance aspects of the system.
• Write and maintain scripts and tools using one or more programming languages to aid in performance analysis.
• Tune databases and optimize SQL queries to ensure high performance in production and testing environments.
• Leverage Application Performance Management (APM) tools, such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and Splunk, to monitor and optimize system performance.
