Your role
As Hybrid Inventory & Order Coordinator / Hardware Support Technician you will be responsible for overseeing equipment logistics, managing inventory levels, and coordinating orders to meet operational demands. You will also provide essential hands-on and remote technical support for our proprietary systems. Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
• Provide end-to-end equipment purchase support, including logistics coordination and liaison with shipping partners to ensure timely delivery of equipment within project deadlines
• Maintain accurate inventory stock levels to meet quarterly operational demands and program plans, providing monthly shortage reports
• Coordinate all shipments with external logistics suppliers (warehouses, domestic carriers, parking service providers), calculating lead times, and tracking ETAs/ETDs
• Assist with equipment forecasting, local inventory management, and distribution
• Facilitate the proper packaging and labelling of dangerous goods for shipment
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure supply availability, providing clear updates on recovery and mitigation efforts
• Create and maintain parts lists and replenishment levels
• Develop and implement processes for forecast modelling, parameter establishment, and exception management
• Forecast demand and oversee regional allocations, communicating key inventory inbound/outbound information to all interested parties
• Support physical inventory counts as required
Hardware Support & Repair:
• Perform assembly and disassembly of systems in-house and in the field on vehicles
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and replace various computer and camera components
• Provide remote support for vehicle fleets and proprietary systems, including guiding operators through system function tests and collecting relevant data via phone or video conference
• Provide repair and refurbishment support for all vehicles and parts, following helpdesk guidelines
Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Familiarity with various testing techniques and strong hardware troubleshooting skills
• Experience with hardware installation and warehouse management
• Familiarity with vehicle parts, computer parts, camera parts, and PCBs
• Expert knowledge of and experience with hand tools, light power tools, types and application of hardware, measuring tools and techniques, and basic automotive repair
• Familiarity with spreadsheets, stock management, and forecasting
• Experience in the logistics industry, including vendor and warehouse management
• Comfortable with a rapidly-changing environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, with a proactive attitude and a passion for learning and creative problem-solving
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to operate and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business
• Working knowledge of ticketing systems, Gmail, and Google Calendar
• Basic spreadsheet tasks
• Ability to travel, often on short notice
• Clear driving record (MVR) and ability to operate motor vehicles
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Understanding of wiring diagrams
• Electronics repair experience
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Experience with any ERP tools
• Moderate to advanced automotive repair experience
