Program Manager (Hybrid)

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Program Manager with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until January 31st, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $102,000 - $160,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Responsibilities:
- Define and refine the finance model and governance for key portfolio in Verizon business group, including budget/resource management and cost optimization.
- Facilitate and guide the internal team on headcount and budget finalization, change control, budget reduction, and expense reduction exercises.
- Complete and track strategic workforce strategies to achieve portfolio objectives.
- Handle contingent labor ramp-up, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of vendor payments adhering to defined SLAs.
- Collaborate with delivery teams and sourcing to proactively work on contract extensions and required approvals, in close collaboration with the finance team on SOW extensions.
- Keep track of and analyze important information from meetings with vendor partners and share this information with the vendor performance manager, sourcing, and other collaborators.
- Gather input from collaborators on vendor performance across various aspects including quality, innovation, user experience, value built, and efficiency.
- Drive charter for employee enablement and engagement to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Handle all executive reviews and internal engagement events by ensuring participation, coordination, and implementation.
- Facilitate branding and communication to instill pride and loyalty in employees.
- Drive innovation as a culture and support events like hackathons.
- Provide executive summaries with portfolio data analysis and insights for continuous improvement of team and delivery operations.
- Provide updates on important measures related to people, process, and technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated ability.
- 6 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Program management/ITIL certifications.
- Strong change champion and culture catalyst, organizing employee engagement meetings and events and listening to the voice of employees.
- Expertise in portfolio budget and finance management and tracking.
- Knowledge of project management techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of productivity and program management tools/software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Clarity, G Suite, Slack).
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Management (preferred).
- Quantitative, problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of operational and financial performance management measures, including implications for IT and business strategy.
- Positive relationship skills to collaborate with internal IT leaders, business leaders, and external vendors.
- Strong vendor relationship management and coordination capabilities, ability to effectively handle and resolve disputes.
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with vendors and other team members.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Competency in desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Mail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drives, Google Slides, PPT, Excel).
- Verizon experience is a must.
