About the role
As Client Relation Manager (CRM) (or Key Account Manager) for the Energy and Utilities Industry segment, you will drive, expand and further develop Cognizant’s digital and business transformation footprint at our strategic clients. You bring experience from working extensively in your field and are ready to lead and assume responsibility for strategic engagements and orchestrate client outcomes leveraging Cognizant’s unique end-to-end capabilities.
You will play a key role in driving and selling major assignments with deep business impact to our clients, primarily focused on our industrial sector. You will work in an entrepreneurial environment where digital expertise is recognized, developed and rewarded. Moreover you’ll be part of a fast growing, ambitious team of sharp thinking colleagues recruited from leading consultancies as well as other companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders
- Understand the client environment, issues, and priorities and Develop insights into prospective Client’s organization structure, business, and technology strategy
- Work with clients to define their problems and co-create solutions
- Work closely with different teams in Cognizant to build a winnable value proposition in order to create client business value
- Track of industry trends relevant to client business & bring forth proactive ideas and solutions
- Serve as the day-to-day business development point of contact for the clients
- Drive the end-to-end sales process, including pro-active actions, presentations, negotiations and contracting all the way to signature and deal closing.
- Be actively involved in opportunity qualification and reviews, gathering the best Cognizant team for the approach, developing solutions, proposal responses, creating an executive summary for the proposal, and ensure timely submission with appropriate internal approvals
- Be responsible for a customers/portfolio Profit and Loss (P&L)
About you
The focus of this role is on business development, sales and closing transformational technology business for Cognizant within specialized industries, hence your personal skills, capabilities and industry experience and –network are the most important assets for us.
Professionally, you have a university degree in business administration, engineering or a related field. You have demonstrated experience with a focus on hands-on sales and technology services consulting. Your deliveries have involved deep advisory and end-to-end digital strategy and transformation skills, preferably within industrial digitization and advanced data analytics, which has positioned you as a senior trusted advisor, within the customers’ industry.
You are used to working with global and regional clients on a senior management level, holding a strong track record of collaboratively growing long-term key accounts. You are experienced generating, defining, shaping and driving strategic digital leads and opportunities in bigger projects and programmes.
Personally, you have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset, as you like to creatively explore and contribute to opportunities for doing things better. You are a doer and can proactively identify, prioritize, qualify and convert opportunities. We are known for our passion about the potential for digital to transform business and society for human benefit and we hope that you feel the same way. Furthermore, we expect that you are a genuine leader, characterized by integrity, creativity, accountability, communication and respect. Good communication and interpersonal skills expected and Norwegian (native speaker level) and strong English language proficiency, both oral and written, is important.
