Roles And Responsibilities
- Understand the strengths and weaknesses of common libraries and apply them effectively.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java technologies such as Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA, JMS, EJB, Struts, and other Java libraries and frameworks.
- Utilize web technologies such as JavaScript (ES2016), NodeJS, and Browser APIs for development.
- Design well-formed RESTful APIs.
- Use multiple frameworks/libraries to build web applications, including ReactJS, Vue.js, Angular, Platform, Redux, or similar.
- Implement Java build automation technologies such as Gradle and Maven.
- Manage different branching models with Git or other SCM tools.
- Design and model relational databases, with knowledge of NoSQL databases and their appropriate use cases.
- Utilize CI/CD platforms such as Bamboo and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
- Work with IaaS platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Use IDEs such as IntelliJ, WebStorm, or VS Code for development.
- Rapidly prototype application concepts.
- Understand and use Jira for agile task allocation and defect management (desirable).
- Use common frontend development tools such as Webpack, NPM/Yarn, Babel/Rollup, and Bash scripting.
- Implement testing solutions such as Karma, Mocha, Chai, Jasmine, Jest, Codecept, and WebDriver.
Qualifications
- Experienced in agile delivery and able to operate within agile/iterative project management methodologies such as SCRUM.
- Experience in a consulting position, preferably working within large, complex, and distributed client environments.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively report and manage or escalate risks, issues, and defects.
