As a Sr. Architect (UI) you will make an impact by leading the design and development of our front-end architecture. Building scalable high-performance web applications and using a deep understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks. You will be a valued member of our dynamic team and collaborate closely with other collaborators and teams.
In this role, you will
- Design and implement robust scalable and maintainable front-end architectures using Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
- Build reusable and modular components to streamline development and ensure consistency across the application.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with back-end developers, UX or UI designers, and other collaborators to deliver high-quality products.
- Ensure the codebase is clean maintainable and follows standard processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
- 10+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
- Highly proficient in JavaScript (ES6plus) HTML5 CSS3 and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Vue.js core principles including components reactivity and the virtual DOM.
- Experience with the Nuxt.js framework for server-side rendering and static site generation.
- Proficient in using Vuex for state management.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
What will help you stand out (preferred skills)
- Experience with other JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular
- Understanding of UI or UX design principles and experience working with design tools
- Familiarity with Agile development practices

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client office in Halifax.
