Position Summary:
- The position is for a Performance Engineer who can work in a challenging Retail environment (Business to Business, Business to Customer) to develop, debug and debug software changes with the POS at its core.
- This role requires at least 8 years hands-on experience in Automation Engineering using Open-Source Technologies.
- Should have at least 6 years’ experience with cloud solutions like AZURE DevOps / AWS. Experience with Service Virtualization tools, performance scripts for Web based application using Load Runner and JMeter are also required.
- In this role, the candidate would be responsible to understand & develop reliable Automation strategies that fit into clients’ existing technology ecosystems.
Mandatory Skills:
- Expertise in understanding client requirements and propose solutions which eventually leads to a greater customer service.
- To be able to answer customer questions or provide accurate information after having the full understanding of the product.
- To be able to understand the intricacies of the system at fine level, which eventually helps to identify a solution for problems and dependencies on other systems in case of multi-interface domain.
- At least 8 years of experience on the Non-functional testing tools i.e. Microfocus LoadRunner, Apache JMeter, Neo load with strong scripting knowledge of .NET and JAVA based protocols
- Strong knowledge of Splunk to prepare the dashboards.
- Very good knowledge of the SQL performance tuning and optimization for Oracle and MS SQL server databases.
- Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures.
- Strong development skills and experience to create tools and emulators to meet the POS and self-checkout virtualization requirements.
- Sound Knowledge of Networking and VMware tools and experience in troubleshooting issues.
- To be able to performance scripts for Web based application using Load Runner and JMeter
- Hands on experience on setting up Servers, Access Points, PIN pads, Printers, Scanners, RF mobile devices, Department Ticketing Scales, and other environment setup for testing.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the implementation of strategy, plans & execution.
- Evaluate new technology needs from a continuous automation perspective.
- Design, build, deploy and debug effective solutions which reduce overall time to market.
- Technical Design and Development of Code.
- Establish and evolve formal quality engineering practices, process, methodologies, standards and hygiene for agile development efforts.
- Will be responsible for defining processes and practices in POS, Self-checkout applications.
- Enabling teams while helping in debugging and fixing errors in code.
- Maintaining solution architecture to meet system requirements.
Salary Range: > $100,000
