Android Developer (Onsite)
Cognizant is looking for an expert top-notch Android Dev to grow with our dev team! As an Android Developer, should have experience of working within a financial organization and display an understanding and appreciation for the complexities therein. Experience with digital platforms, distributed systems, and Cloud technologies is also critical.
Experience within a constantly evolving environment that influences the banking experience for clients and employees, including driving consistent frameworks and methodologies to support consistency is critical for this role. Attention to detail and an ability to convey relevant information at summary and detailed levels are key factors to success in this role. Requires experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies.

Location: San Leandro, CA
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Design and Development
- Unit Testing
- Work in collaborative agile methodology of development
- Discussions with Client and coordinating with offshore
- Necessary artefacts generation and giving inputs for project management
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Software Development experience with architecting, designing, and developing Android mobile applications
- 5 + years of or Android (Kotlin and Jetpack) development experience
- 5+ years of mobile solutions engineering experience
- 4+ years experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, 2.1 or a combination of both
- Strong experience in design, code, test, debug, and document for projects implementations
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Knowledge and understanding of application and web security
- Knowledge and understanding of technology performance: analysis and tuning for applications

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,3372K – $114,000K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
