Guidewire Architect

JD 3

As a Guidewire Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering enterprise-grade insurance solutions using the Guidewire platform. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position where your deep technical expertise and architectural vision will directly influence the success of complex transformation programs in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.

You will be responsible for defining the end-to-end architecture for Guidewire applications—PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter—across configuration, integration, migration, and reporting streams. Your role will involve close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional architects to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Solution Architecture & Strategy: Define and own the architectural blueprint for Guidewire implementations, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business goals.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical delivery lifecycle from discovery through deployment, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
  • Integration Design: Analyze and design robust integration patterns using Integration Gateway, REST APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Advanced Product Design (APD): Leverage APD to create flexible, reusable product models that support rapid business innovation.
  • Mentorship & Governance: Guide and mentor tech leads and developers, enforce coding standards, and drive continuous improvement through code reviews and architectural best practices.
  • Migration & Reporting: Provide strategic input and hands-on support for data migration mapping and reporting frameworks.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and timely resolution of issues.

To be successful in this role your experience should include:

  • Prior experience with Guidewire COTS product implementations.
  • Proficient across PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC) – configuration, integration, migration, and reporting.
  • ACE-certified in multiple Guidewire Centers.
  • Expert in GWCP, Advanced Product Design (APD), and Integration Gateway.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Insurance.
