About the role

As a Salesforce QA Automation Engineer with Playwright, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Salesforce applications through robust test automation and quality engineering practices. You will be a valued member of a cross-functional delivery team and work closely with Salesforce developers, QA engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

· Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand functional and business requirements and identify automation opportunities

· Design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model)

· Develop, enhance, and debug automated test scripts using Playwright

· Execute automated regression and functional test suites, analyze results, and ensure application stability

· Log, track, and validate defects using tools such as Jira and partner with development teams through resolution

· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools

· Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide clear test status updates to stakeholders

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring a presence at a client or Cognizant office in any of these locations - Charlotte (NC), New York, New Jersey, or Radnor (PA) . What you need to have to be considered

· 7+ years of proven experience in Salesforce testing, including both manual and automation testing, with solid QA methodology knowledge

· Strong understanding of Salesforce fundamentals including standard/custom objects, security models, Flows, and Lightning components

· Hands-on experience with Playwright automation using JavaScript or TypeScript

· Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) and query languages such as SQL or SOQL

· Experience executing and maintaining automated regression test suites in Agile environments

These will help you stand out

· Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

· Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams

· Experience working in fast-paced, multi-project delivery environments

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,513 to $130,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
