Role: Unix Administration

Location: Orlando, Florida (Hybrid)

· Act as a hands‑on technical subject matter expert for complex hybrid infrastructure, with deep focus on UNIX platforms including Linux (mandatory) and at least one of AIX, Solaris, or OpenShift.

· Lead advanced troubleshooting and support of enterprise‑scale UNIX and virtualized environments, owning end‑to‑end resolution of complex and high‑severity issues.

· Serve as a go‑to technical authority for Linux and one additional UNIX platform, providing expert guidance on architecture, configuration, performance tuning, and operational stability.

· Demonstrate deep hands‑on expertise with VMware virtualization (mandatory), including host, cluster, and VM‑level troubleshooting in production environments.

· Own and execute root cause analysis (RCA), dump/core analysis, and systemic problem investigations; drive permanent fixes rather than tactical recovery.

· Champion an Automation‑First mindset, actively identifying opportunities

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
