Job Summary
Infra Dev Specialist role for an experienced professional with strong Terraform & GITHUB expertise and deep exposure to Medicare and Medicaid claims working in a hybrid model on day shifts. The role focuses on building reliable infrastructure as code improving automation and enabling secure scalable platforms that support critical healthcare claim processing systems.
Responsibilities
- Design automated infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform to build secure resilient and scalable cloud environments that support high volume Medicare and Medicaid claims processing systems.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and templates that standardize infrastructure patterns and improve consistency reliability and maintainability across multiple healthcare platforms.
- Implement robust state management strategies for Terraform including remote state storage versioning and locking to reduce configuration drift and operational risks in regulated environments.
- Optimize infrastructure deployments by tuning Terraform plans and applies to reduce execution times resource waste and operational costs while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with application and claims processing teams to translate business and domain requirements into infrastructure specifications that support end to end claim lifecycle workflows.
- Conduct impact assessments for infrastructure changes related to Medicare and Medicaid claim systems to ensure continuity data integrity and adherence to payer and provider service expectations.
- Establish monitoring logging and alerting standards for cloud resources provisioned via Terraform to improve observability incident response and service reliability for healthcare stakeholders.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed policy controls tagging standards and configuration baselines into Terraform code to support audits in the healthcare domain.
- Create detailed documentation runbooks and diagrams describing infrastructure designs workflows and Terraform processes to help teams operate systems confidently.
- Perform code reviews for Terraform changes to ensure quality adherence to standards and reduction of operational incidents in critical claims processing platforms.
- Guide continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing incident trends performance metrics and deployment feedback to refine Terraform practices and infrastructure designs.
- Engage with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model to align infrastructure roadmaps with evolving Medicare and Medicaid program requirements and technology strategies.
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and internal communities to spread best practices in infrastructure as code and healthcare domain awareness across teams.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate at least ten years of overall technology experience with significant focus on infrastructure engineering automation and operations within complex enterprise environments.
- Show extensive hands on experience designing and delivering infrastructure as code solutions with Terraform including modules workspaces and integration with version control workflows.
- Exhibit strong domain experience working with Medicare and Medicaid claim processing platforms including understanding of claim lifecycles adjudication rules and regulatory expectations.
- Apply practical knowledge of cloud platforms such as major public cloud providers to architect secure compliant and highly available environments for healthcare applications using Terraform.
- Utilize solid skills in networking security and identity concepts to design infrastructure that protects sensitive healthcare data while maintaining performance and availability.
- Display experience with CI and CD pipelines and tooling to automate validation testing and deployment of Terraform code to lower environments and production systems.
- Communicate clearly in hybrid settings using documentation and discussions to align technical decisions with stakeholder expectations and regulatory constraints.
- Maintain familiarity with industry frameworks and healthcare compliance requirements such as standards for information security and privacy to ensure infrastructure solutions remain audit ready.
