About the role: Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
We are looking for an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to deploy, configure, and support cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The role involves hands-on provisioning and administration of Azure resources, supporting day-to-day operations, and assisting with automation and governance under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.
● Provision, configure, and manage core Azure infrastructure — virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, NSGs, load balancers, and managed disks.
● Support compute, storage, and networking operations, including capacity, availability, and performance monitoring.
● Implement and manage Azure IAM (RBAC) role assignments, service principals, and basic policy configurations.
● Assist with infrastructure provisioning through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates) and reusable scripts.
● Configure monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tooling.
● Perform routine operational tasks — patching, backups, snapshots, VM scaling, and resource tagging/cost hygiene.
● Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and resource issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
● Support landing zone and subscription onboarding activities under defined governance standards.
● Maintain documentation, runbooks, and configuration records for deployed environments.
Collaborate with platform, networking, security, and application teams on deployment and support requests.
What you must have to be considered
● 2–4 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
● Working knowledge of Azure core services: Compute (VMs, VMSS), Storage, Virtual Network, NSGs, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Key Vault.
● Understanding of networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, subnets, routing, and firewalls.
● Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep/ARM) and scripting (PowerShell or Azure CLI).
● Experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
● Awareness of cloud security, RBAC, and governance/tagging best practices.
· Good troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
These will help you succeed
● Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
● Other Cloud platform knowledge - AWS / GCP
● Basic understanding of Azure landing zones and the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
● Awareness of Azure service limits/quotas and cost-optimization practices.
● Certifications: Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
