Job summary
Serve as a senior architect responsible for designing secure scalable and highly available solutions on AWS using services such as CloudFront EKS Fargate ECS Lambda RDS VPC and Kinesis. Collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model to define cloud architecture standards optimize cost and performance and ensure reliable delivery of business critical applications in a day shift environment.
Responsibilities
- Design end to end AWS cloud architectures that use CloudFront VPC and application services to deliver secure low latency and resilient digital experiences for global users.
- Define container based application patterns using AWS EKS Fargate and ECS to improve deployment consistency scalability and operational efficiency across environments.
- Architect event driven solutions that leverage AWS Lambda SNS and SQS to decouple components enhance system robustness and streamline asynchronous business workflows.
- Plan and implement secure data storage and access strategies using AWS RDS and related services to meet performance availability and compliance expectations for transactional workloads.
- Configure and optimize AWS Kinesis for real time data streaming so that analytics and monitoring teams can access timely insights that drive informed business decisions.
- Apply AWS Key Management Service to design encryption and key management patterns that protect sensitive information and comply with internal and external security requirements.
- Establish cloud networking architectures with AWS VPC subnets and related services that provide isolation controlled connectivity and reliable communication between application components.
- Evaluate existing application portfolios and propose modernization roadmaps that transition workloads to AWS native services while controlling risk and cost.
- Collaborate with engineering security and operations teams in a hybrid work setup to translate functional needs into detailed technical designs and reference architectures.
- Create architecture diagrams design documents and implementation guidelines that help delivery teams build and operate AWS based solutions with consistency and clarity.
- Review solution implementations to ensure alignment with architectural standards cost optimization practices performance targets and reliability objectives.
- Guide incident and problem analysis for critical cloud hosted applications by providing architectural insights that help identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Promote adoption of infrastructure as code and automated deployment practices on AWS to increase deployment speed repeatability and overall platform quality.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate extensive hands on experience in architecting solutions with AWS services including CloudFront EKS Fargate ECS Lambda RDS VPC SNS SQS Kinesis and Key Management Service.
- Possess a strong background in designing containerized workloads and orchestration strategies that support microservices high availability and efficient resource usage on AWS.
- Exhibit proficiency in cloud security design including encryption at rest and in transit identity and access management and secure network segmentation in AWS environments.
- Bring proven experience in building event driven and streaming architectures that use managed messaging and streaming services to support scalable enterprise applications.
- Show capability to work effectively with cross functional stakeholders in a hybrid work model translating business needs into clear technical solutions for cloud delivery.
- Display strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate trade offs in performance cost and reliability when designing AWS based systems.
Certifications Required
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or equivalent cloud architect certification.
