About the Role
As a Senior Associate, you will drive impactful contributions and focus on outcomes. You will be a key member of the Global Business Resilience team, collaborating with Corporate Functions. The Global Business Resilience team is focused on protecting the company’s associates, customers, operations, brand, and reputation. We are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Management (BCM) professional to support our BCM & DR Governance team in the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of the BCM & DR program in accordance with ISO controls. You will engage with cross-functional teams across Cognizant and external partners to support governance initiatives, ensure adherence to established processes, and champion continuous improvement efforts. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team. In This Role, You Will
- Serve as a trusted Business Continuity Management (BCM) advisor, providing expertise and guidance to strengthen organisational resilience and ensure compliance with internal and external continuity requirements.
- Identify business continuity and disaster recovery risks, assess operational gaps, and recommend practical solutions to enhance resilience and mitigate potential disruptions.
- Partner with Process Owners and BCP Coordinators across business units and corporate functions to maintain and continuously improve Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), Risk Assessments (RAs), recovery strategies, and BC/DR plans, ensuring alignment with critical internal and external dependencies.
- Drive the successful execution of the BCM programme within ServiceNow by coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of BIAs, Risk Assessments, BC/DR Plans, and continuity testing activities.
- Collaborate with business and corporate function resilience leads to provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and support in meeting client, regulatory, and internal resilience requirements.
- Deliver results in a dynamic, global environment by working effectively with remote, virtual, and cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and time zones.

What You Must Have to Be Considered
· 7–9 years of professional experience, including 3–4 years in Business Continuity Management (BCM), Disaster Recovery (DR), or Operational Resilience within a large organisation or consulting environment.
· A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
· Strong understanding of BCM frameworks, methodologies, and industry standards, including ISO 22301, NIST, and ITIL.
· Relevant professional certifications such as ISO 22301 Lead Auditor/Implementer, CBCP/ABCP (DRII), FBCI/MBCI/AMBCI (BCI), EDRP, or equivalent BCM/DR credentials.
· Working knowledge of the BCM lifecycle, disaster recovery best practices, recovery strategies, and risk assessment methodologies, with familiarity in IT infrastructure, data centre operations, and cloud technologies.
· Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive enterprise-wide programmes and cross-functional collaboration.
· Experience with ServiceNow BCM or related resilience management platforms is highly desirable.
· A strong sense of ownership, desire to create meaningful outcomes, and passion for work that serves a greater good for customers, communities, or global challenges.

Work Model - Hybrid
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring three days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, or Bangalore, Karnataka.
