About the role
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will make an impact by shaping and delivering the people agenda for Cognizant Spain, coaching leaders and strengthening employee engagement, organisational effectiveness and compliance. You will be a valued member of the Spain Human Resources team, reporting to the Spain HR Lead and working collaboratively with business leaders, employee representatives and HR centres of expertise including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, HR Services and Global Mobility.
In this role, you will:
Coach leaders to deliver business objectives and advise managers on engagement, workforce planning, capability development, performance management and compensation.
Drive talent management and engagement strategies, using knowledge of the business, market and local talent trends to strengthen attraction, development and retention.
Develop and localise HR policies and processes in line with Cognizant’s global HR strategy and Spanish employment regulations.
Lead and contribute to HR transformation and operational improvement projects that enhance employee experience, efficiency and compliance.
Build constructive dialogue with works councils, unions and health and safety representatives, supporting discussions and negotiations as needed.
Use people data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR policies and practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

What you need to have to be considered
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
At least 10 years of HR Business Partner experience within an international, complex and matrixed organisation, including collaboration with HR shared services.
Strong knowledge of Spanish labour law and experience supporting a compliant employee relations environment.
Demonstrated credibility and influencing skills, with the ability to coach senior leaders and navigate local and global stakeholder relationships.
Experience leading organisational change, HR transformation or cross-functional people projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English as a working language.

Experience in the technology, IT services or professional services sector
Experience working with offshore teams or a multi-location shared services model
Hands-on experience engaging with employee representatives, works councils, unions or health and safety committees
A practical, data-informed approach that combines strategic thinking with strong execution and prioritisation
A collaborative and transparent working style, with the confidence to challenge constructively and propose innovative solutions
