Job Summary : The Functional Specialist ISG role focuses on designing configuring and optimizing IBM Sterling Order Management System solutions that support complex omnichannel operations for enterprise clients ensuring reliable order orchestration inventory visibility and customer fulfillment experiences while collaborating with cross functional teams in a hybrid work environment. 3. Responsibilities : -Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze complex order management requirements and translate them into robust IBM Sterling OMS functional designs that enhance end to end order processing efficiency and accuracy -Configure IBM Sterling OMS Admin features including order types pipelines statuses and user exits to support scalable and maintainable business workflows aligned with client objectives -Design functional solutions for IBM Sterling based order orchestration that integrate inventory payment and fulfillment processes to deliver consistent and reliable customer experiences -Document detailed functional specifications for changes in Sterling OMS including configurations customizations and integrations to ensure shared understanding across technical and business teams -Coordinate with developers and architects to validate that Sterling OMS configurations and custom components align with functional specifications and non functional requirements such as performance and resilience -Perform system and integration testing for IBM Sterling OMS features by preparing test scenarios validating results and coordinating defect triage to maintain high solution quality -Analyze production incidents within Sterling OMS and related systems by identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions that reduce recurring issues and improve system stability -Optimize Sterling OMS process performance by evaluating order flows monitoring key metrics and recommending configuration adjustments that shorten cycle times and reduce operational overhead -Guide business users through IBM Sterling OMS capabilities by conducting workshops creating user guides and supporting knowledge transfer to drive better adoption of platform features -Work closely with cross functional teams across ISG to align Sterling OMS solutions with broader enterprise strategies for omnichannel order fulfillment and customer satisfaction -Ensure compliance with organizational governance standards by maintaining accurate Sterling OMS configuration documentation and adhering to structured change management practices -Support hybrid work model collaboration by using digital tools to coordinate with distributed team members ensuring timely communication of design changes risks and status updates -Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Sterling OMS landscape by gathering feedback identifying enhancement opportunities and prioritizing backlog items that deliver measurable business value -Qualifications -Interpret business needs related to order management and inventory visibility by leveraging extensive experience with IBM Sterling OMS to propose practical and scalable solutions for enterprise environments -Apply deep knowledge of IBM Sterling OMS Admin capabilities to configure complex order pipelines rules and fulfillment logic that support diverse business scenarios and service levels -Use hands on experience with IBM Sterling core modules to design functional integrations with upstream and downstream systems covering order capture payments and logistics processes -Demonstrate strong understanding of Sterling OMS concepts including sourcing rules allocation logic promise dates and service level agreements to ensure accurate and predictable order outcomes -Utilize prior experience of nine to twelve years in functional specialist or equivalent roles to manage medium to large scale implementations and enhancements for IBM Sterling based solutions -Communicate clearly with technical and non technical partners by converting functional requirements into simple language supporting accurate effort estimation and implementation planning -Apply working knowledge of hybrid delivery environments by effectively balancing onsite and remote collaboration while maintaining productivity accountability and stakeholder engagement -Exhibit strong problem solving skills by investigating complex Sterling OMS issues proposing options and articulating trade offs that help stakeholders make informed decisions -Utilize familiarity with structured testing practices including system integration and user acceptance testing to validate IBM Sterling configurations and minimize post deployment defects -Adapt to evolving business and technology landscapes by learning new Sterling OMS features related tools and industry practices that keep solutions modern and competitive -Apply understanding of secure and compliant configuration practices in Sterling OMS to safeguard sensitive order and customer data while supporting organizational risk management objectives -Support inclusive and respectful collaboration by working effectively with diverse global teams and focusing on shared goals related to customer satisfaction and operational excellence 9.
