We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as a Technology Architect ( Kafka )

Job Summary

Seasoned Integration Architect to own the enterprise API Management strategy and broader integration landscape spanning APIs events and queues on AWS. Strong handson expertise required in Apigee and AWS API Gateway with exposure to ManufacturingSupply Chain integration scenarios order management plant systems logistics ERP SCM integrations


Responsibilities

Own end to end Enterprise Integrations based on Apigee Kafka Microservices platforms. Work with various app teams understand requirements design develop and deploy the Integrations

Very good handson expertise on Apigee. policies rate limiting OAuth JWT security traffic management Javascript Apigee custom development

Design the overall integration landscape connecting APIs event streams and message queues across enterprise systems

Define API led connectivity patterns for Manufacturing and Supply Chain systems like ERP MES WMS EDI B2B integrations and partner vendor connectivity

Establish API design standards RESTOpenAPI governance frameworks and reusable integration patterns

Guide integration of eventdriven and queue based components Kafka SQS SNS EventBridge alongside API layer

Partner with supply chain manufacturing and business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable integration solutions

Drive API security observability and performance throttling caching analytics monitoring

Evaluate and recommend API management tooling including Kong as platform needs evolve

Mentor teams on API design best practices and enterprise integration governance

Required Skills

16 to 20 yrs in integration architecture with strong focus on API Management

Deep knowledge and Handson expertise. Apigee and AWS API Gateway policies security lifecycle management

Strong understanding of overall integration landscape APIs events and messaging queues

Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Supply Chain domain integrations

Excellent communication skills and client interfacing skills

Solid AWS cloud architecture experience compute networking security

Experience with API security standards OAuth2 JWT mTLS and API governance frameworks

Strong stakeholder management and architecture documentation skills

Good to Have

Kong API Gateway experience

Exposure to Kafka AWS MSK AWS Flink SQS

Knowledge of Spring Boot microservices on AWS ECS

AWS Solutions Architect certification Apigee certification

Experience with B2B EDI integration tools


Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and at least one API management or Kafka related certification
