About the role
As a .NET Architect / Lead Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications for global aviation clients. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and cloud engineering teams to drive modernization initiatives and technical excellence across the organization.

In this role, you will:
Design and guide enterprise-scale solutions using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, WPF, and Microsoft Azure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scalable application architectures and establish development best practices.
Lead technical decision-making to ensure high-quality, secure, and reliable software solutions.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability across enterprise platforms.
Support the development and modernization of mission-critical applications for global airline and aviation clients.
Ensure adherence to architecture standards, coding guidelines, and security requirements.
Evaluate and implement AI-driven solutions to improve engineering productivity and business outcomes.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship throughout the software development lifecycle.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Atlanta, Georgia. What you need to have to be considered
Strong experience developing enterprise applications using C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting solutions in Microsoft Azure.
Experience building and maintaining desktop applications using WPF.
Proven expertise in application architecture, design patterns, and scalable distributed systems.
Knowledge of AI technologies and the ability to leverage AI-based solutions to improve productivity and efficiency.
Experience developing secure, reliable, and high-availability enterprise applications.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
Experience within the travel industry, preferably supporting airline business processes and technology platforms.
These will help you stand out
Experience leading cloud transformation or application modernization initiatives.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment strategies.
Experience with microservices and cloud-native application architectures.
Microsoft Azure certifications.
Familiarity with airline operations, passenger services, reservations, or travel/aviation technology ecosystems.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
