About the Role
As a Senior AI Technical Lead, you will make an impact by designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You will be a valued member of the AI Engineering team and work collaboratively with business leaders, technology teams, security stakeholders, and global delivery teams to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and accelerate AI adoption.

In This Role, You Will:
Assess client business processes, technology landscapes, and operational challenges to identify high-value opportunities for Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
Define and own end-to-end solution architecture, including model selection, agent design, data ingestion strategies, integrations, security, governance, evaluation frameworks, and cost optimization.
Lead global engineering teams through hands-on implementation, establishing AI engineering, prompt engineering, and development best practices.
Collaborate closely with business, technology, security, and delivery stakeholders to align priorities, manage risks, and ensure successful project execution.
Drive solution adoption and measurable business value by establishing success metrics, monitoring performance, and supporting production-scale AI operations.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
Extensive experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
Strong expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), LangGraph, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agent orchestration frameworks.
Hands-on proficiency in Python and data ingestion, retrieval, and integration patterns, including vector database technologies.
Experience designing AI systems with enterprise-grade observability, governance, reliability, security, and scalability.
Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services, or comparable cloud-based AI platforms.
These Will Help You Stand Out
Healthcare industry experience with a strong understanding of healthcare business processes and regulatory considerations.
Experience implementing advanced agent design patterns, memory management, workflow orchestration, and tool integration frameworks.
Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting experience.
Experience leading distributed or global technology teams.
Proven track record delivering AI solutions that achieve measurable business, productivity, or operational outcomes.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $102,600 to $162,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
