About the role:
As a Foundry QA Lead (Palantir Foundry), you will make an impact by leading quality assurance initiatives for enterprise-scale data platforms, ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of data pipelines across hybrid cloud environments. You will be a valued member of the data engineering and quality assurance team and work collaboratively with architects, data engineers, product owners, business stakeholders, and delivery leaders.
In this role, you will:
- Lead end-to-end testing strategy, planning, execution, and quality governance for enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Develop and enhance automated data validation frameworks for ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, schema validation, and data quality checks.
- Drive functional, integration, regression, performance, and cloud validation testing across Palantir Foundry and AWS-based data ecosystems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, resolve defects, and improve overall delivery quality.
- Establish testing standards, quality metrics, and governance practices aligned with security, compliance, and data management requirements.
- Mentor QA professionals and data validation teams while promoting scalable automation and testing best practices.

What you need to have to be considered
- 15+ years of experience in software testing, data engineering, data quality management, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience leading quality assurance efforts for enterprise-scale data platforms, data lakes, and complex data workflows.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Palantir Foundry, PySpark, Spark SQL, advanced SQL scripting, and AWS data services.
- Deep understanding of ETL processes, big data ecosystems, cloud-based architectures, and data pipeline validation.
- Experience building and managing automated testing frameworks, data reconciliation processes, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of data profiling, anomaly detection, performance testing, defect management, and quality reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing QA teams and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience supporting projects within the Energy & Utilities industry.
These will help you stand out:
- Palantir Foundry certification or related platform credentials.
- Cloud testing, AWS, or big data certification(s).
- Experience implementing enterprise-wide data quality frameworks and governance programs.
- Knowledge of modern data observability, monitoring, and quality engineering practices.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team mentoring capabilities.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 150,000 - $ 180,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
