Job Summary
Business Analysis Manager role in a hybrid work model day shift with no travel requirement focuses on driving complex requirement analysis and solution design for enterprise payment platforms using strong expertise in SQL Jira Confluence and Java while collaborating with cross functional stakeholders to deliver high quality business outcomes in cards and payments initiatives for a global organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead end to end business analysis activities for complex technology initiatives by translating strategic objectives into actionable requirements that drive measurable outcomes for enterprise payment platforms.
- Oversee the collection clarification and documentation of detailed business and system requirements by engaging product owners architects and engineering teams to ensure shared understanding and traceability.
- Provide clear and structured requirement specifications user stories and acceptance criteria using Jira to support efficient sprint planning prioritization and delivery across hybrid agile teams.
- Analyze data models transaction flows and integration points using advanced SQL skills to validate business rules detect anomalies and optimize reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Collaborate with Java engineering teams to interpret requirements into technical designs by clarifying functional behavior interfaces and nonfunctional constraints that influence development and testing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation in Confluence including process maps business rules decision logs and release notes to ensure long term knowledge management and audit readiness.
- Drive workshops and working sessions with stakeholders from operations finance risk and technology to uncover pain points and opportunities that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate defect triage and impact analysis by using Jira issue tracking and SQL based data validation to support timely resolution and prevent recurring production issues.
- Monitor project progress against agreed milestones and requirements baselines by providing data driven insights on scope changes dependencies and risks to enable informed decision making.
- Support implementation planning and readiness activities by defining business scenarios coordinating user validation and aligning cutover steps to minimize disruption during releases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis practices by refining templates standards and estimation approaches that increase consistency and quality of deliverables.
- Partner with compliance and risk stakeholders to ensure that requirements and solution designs for transaction processing reporting and data handling adhere to regulatory expectations and internal controls.
- Apply cards and payments domain knowledge when available to refine use cases transaction lifecycles and exception handling so solutions better align with industry practices and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Possess twelve to fourteen years of progressive experience in business analysis or similar roles within complex technology environments demonstrating consistent ownership of requirements for large initiatives.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in SQL including writing complex queries joins and aggregations to validate data driven requirements support root cause analysis and enable insights for stakeholders.
- Demonstrate extensive hands on experience with Jira for managing backlogs user stories workflows and issue tracking ensuring transparent communication and efficient delivery cycles.
- Utilize Confluence effectively to create structured documentation spaces meeting notes and decision records that support collaboration across distributed hybrid teams.
- Show practical exposure to Java based applications enabling productive discussions with engineers on functional behavior interfaces and constraints even if not acting as a developer.
- Bring cards and payments domain experience as a valuable asset including familiarity with authorization clearing settlement disputes and compliance requirements to enrich solution design.
- Adapt comfortably to a hybrid work model and day shift schedule while using virtual collaboration tools and clear communication practices to maintain alignment across onsite and remote team members.
- Display strong analytical communication and stakeholder management skills that enable effective negotiation of priorities and delivery of solutions aligned to both business value and user expectations.
