We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer (Angular & Java) to join our Digital Engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that drive business value.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Angular, Java, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices. You will play a key role in building high-quality applications, enhancing user experiences, and contributing to enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

In This Role, You Will

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Angular and Java technologies.
  • Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces while developing scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop and support cloud-native applications leveraging AWS, Azure, or OpenShift platforms.
  • Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Utilize Git-based source control and branching strategies to support collaborative software development.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using GitHub Actions and related DevOps tools.
  • Translate business requirements and design specifications into high-quality production-ready applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices across development teams.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and support modernization initiatives.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities.

Work Model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, Ontario.   • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular and Java Spring Boot.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or OpenShift.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application development.
  • Strong understanding of Git, source control, and branching strategies.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

These Will Help You Stand Out

  • Experience within Banking or Financial Services environments.
  • Experience developing distributed cloud-native applications.
  • Familiarity with Figma and modern UI/UX implementation practices.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • Passion for continuous learning and adopting emerging technologies.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is CAD $68,422 - CAD $114,000 depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and other factors permitted by law.

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive compensation program, subject to the terms of the applicable plan.
