AI Architect - GCP
About the role
We are seeking an experienced AI Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) AI services to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Gemini Pro, Vertex AI, Vector Search, and modern AI/ML architectures, combined with strong client-facing consulting skills. This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to define AI strategies, drive solution architecture, and deliver innovative AI-powered products that solve complex business challenges.
In this role, you will:
- Architect and deliver AI/Generative AI solutions leveraging GCP services such as Gemini Pro, Vertex AI, and Vector Search.
- Partner with clients and stakeholders to define AI strategies and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Lead AI solution design, implementation, and deployment while ensuring best practices for security and performance.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive client discussions, workshops, and solution presentations at an architect level.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Chicago, IL. What you need to have to be considered
- Strong experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on expertise with Gemini Pro, Vertex AI, Vector Search, and related GCP AI services.
- Proven experience in enterprise AI architecture and cloud-based solution delivery.
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Travel & Hospitality and/or Financial Services domains is preferred.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 - $186,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
