About the Role

As a Junior Business Development Intern at Cognizant, you will make an impact by actively contributing to the full commercial lifecycle, from identifying exciting new business opportunities to supporting the closure of deals with some of the world's leading enterprises.
This is not a coffee-making internship. From day one, you will be a valued member of the Sweden Sales & Business Development team, working side-by-side with experienced professionals who are shaping the future of enterprise technology in the Swedish market.

A Note on Compensation
This is an unpaid internship. In return, you will gain direct exposure to live commercial environments, structured mentorship, and learning programs that are genuinely difficult to access this early in a career. We want candidates to have that information clearly before applying.
In This Role, You Will
- Participate in research and shaping market perspectives, being engaged in-depth market research on Business Development opportunities across the Swedish market, and maintain a running summary of key business transactions across sectors
- Stay ahead of the curve, follow relevant business and technology publications covering Cognizant's target industries, and turn those insights into strategic input for the team
- Develop your product knowledge, build a solid understanding of Cognizant's solutions, platforms, frameworks and tools, and help develop tailored value propositions for target customers in Sweden
- Participate in live deals, being engaged in tenders, prepare research papers and business presentations that directly support the sales team's efforts
- Participat in driving growth, support business development with both new and existing customers across sectors, and help build and establish new business partnerships
- Contribute to brand and marketing, drive marketing and branding initiatives together with Cognizant's marketing colleagues and regional leadership
- Gain real-world experience, earn hands-on insights from live Business Development projects in corporate and customer environments, and understand first-hand what it means to create customer delight and achieve industry-leading CSAT scores
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (minimum 5th semester) or a Master's degree program in a relevant field
- Strong research and analytical skills, you can analyse data, draw meaningful conclusions, and build future scenarios from current data sets
- Fluency in both English and Swedish, written and spoken, at a business professional level
- Understanding of B2B sales, particularly within the IT industry, and the ability to track and leverage business and technology trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong communication skills, clear, professional, and confident in both written and verbal formats
- Previous experience in IT, business operations or corporate strategy, through internships, project work or extracurricular activities, is a plus, but not a requirement
