Job Tittle: Rubrik Admin & IT Service Management (Onsite)

Job Summary:

Infra Technology Specialist with expertise in Rubrik Administration. Candidate should have experience in handling change incident and service management knowledge. The candidate will apply their expertise to boost system reliability and efficiency. The role offers a multifaceted environment to drive impactful solutions.

Responsibilities:

Rubrik Administration:

  • Deploy, configure, and handle Rubrik backup solutions across on-prem and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ensure efficient performance, security, and reliability of backup jobs.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance on the Rubrik platform.
  • Handle and supervise daily backup and restore operations.
  • Solve and resolve backup failures, performance issues, and replication errors.
  • Conduct periodic recovery testing to validate backup integrity.
  • Maintain backup retention policies and ensure compliance with data governance regulations.
  • Develop and detail disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Implement data encryption, immutability, and ransomware protection strategies.
  • Lead role-based access control (RBAC) within the Rubrik environment.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and infrastructure teams to align backup solutions with business needs.
  • Provide end-user training and support for backup and recovery processes.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.

Certificate Management:

  • Maintain an inventory of certificates (expiration dates, types, owners) within the client infrastructure.
  • Produce weekly reports for certificates expiring in the next 30, 60, and 90 days.
  • Work with application owners to ensure timely renewal and change submission for certificates expiring within 30 days.
  • Generate quarterly metrics on renewals, expired certificates, and certificate-related incidents.
  • Support automation and process streamlining in collaboration with security and cloud teams.

IT Service Management (ITSM):

  • Own the resolution of high-priority incidents to restore service operations swiftly and minimize disruption.
  • Lead incident, problem, and activities to support effective teamwork and resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major or recurring incidents and maintain the Known Error Database (KEDB).
  • Assess change requests (RFCs) for risk, impact, and business alignment with IT governance.
  • Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring changes align with requirements.
  • Monitor incident and problem trends, proactively identifying areas for process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, problems, and changes, ensuring compliance with ITIL standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely updates on IT service operations.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including incident resolution time, problem closure rate, and change success rate.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $49,000 to $107,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
