Job Summary
Senior SDET role focused on designing and automating robust test solutions using Selenium TPF GDS & Mainframe BDD for complex web applications in a hybrid work model. The role requires six to eight years of experience with strong functional and regression automation skills close collaboration with cross functional teams and a passion for delivering reliable digital journeys for global customers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust Selenium based automated test suites that validate complex user journeys across multiple web applications and services ensuring high reliability for global customers.
- Develop scalable test frameworks and utilities in collaboration with engineering teams to increase automation coverage reduce manual regression effort and accelerate release cycles.
- Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create comprehensive functional regression and integration test scenarios that reflect realistic user behavior and system constraints.
- Execute automated and targeted manual tests in a day shift hybrid model interpret results quickly and work with developers to isolate reproduce and resolve defects.
- Maintain and enhance existing Selenium test suites by refactoring flaky tests improving locators and optimizing execution time to ensure stable and efficient continuous testing.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration pipelines monitor pipeline health and provide timely feedback that improves overall software quality and deployment confidence.
- Collaborate closely with product managers developers and other quality specialists to refine acceptance criteria and ensure that test strategies align with business priorities and customer expectations.
- Investigate production issues by reproducing scenarios through automated or exploratory tests document root causes and recommend preventive measures that reduce recurrence.
- Create clear test documentation including detailed test plans test cases and execution reports to support transparent communication with stakeholders and audit readiness.
- Mentor junior quality engineers on effective use of Selenium testing patterns and debugging practices fostering a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with environment and operations teams to manage test data test accounts and stable environments enabling consistent and repeatable test execution.
- Contribute to performance and reliability assessments by designing focused automation that measures response times error rates and user flow stability under realistic conditions.
- Engage with domain experts in travel intermediaries when available to refine test scenarios that mirror real booking flows pricing rules and partner integrations for enhanced customer trust.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate six to eight years of hands on experience as an SDET or similar role with a strong focus on automation using Selenium for complex web applications.
- Possess strong skills in at least one programming language commonly used with Selenium along with solid understanding of object oriented design and modular test architecture.
- Show practical experience in designing maintaining and executing automated regression suites integrated with continuous integration pipelines in an enterprise environment.
- Exhibit working knowledge of version control systems defect tracking tools and test management platforms that support collaborative quality practices.
- Bring experience or strong interest in the travel intermediaries domain as an added advantage with the ability to translate domain rules into meaningful test coverage.
- Display excellent analytical and communication abilities enabling effective collaboration in hybrid teams and clear reporting of quality risks and test outcomes.
