Job Title: Databricks Unity Catalog Architect (Remote)
Job Summary
We are seeking an expert Architect with 7 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Databricks Unity Catalog Admin and Databricks SQL. Experience in the Mobility-T&H domain is a plus. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work both remotely and on-site, with no travel required. The position operates during day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the design and implementation of data architecture solutions using Databricks Unity Catalog Admin.
- Coordinate the management and optimization of Databricks SQL environments.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to development teams on Databricks-related projects.
- Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
- Ensure data security and stay in sync with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture and processes.
- Supervise and tackle data systems to ensure efficient performance and reliability.
- Work closely with data engineers and analysts to streamline data workflows.
- Implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture and Databricks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management practices within the organization.
- Support the Mobility-T&H domain projects by demonstrating domain knowledge and technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- Must have extensive experience in Databricks Unity Catalog Admin and Databricks SQL.
- Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have superb communication and teamwork abilities.
- Nice to have experience in the Mobility-T&H domain.
- Should be proficient in data modeling and database design.
- Must have a solid grasp of data security and compliance requirements.
- Should be experienced in designing and maintaining technical documentation.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until April 26, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 - $156,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
