Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior NodeJS Developer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Extensive hands-on in backend end webservices/RESTAPI development using NodeJS
2. Cloud experience – AWS (ECS, LAMBDA, FARGATE) is must and experience in working AWS (EC2, S3, R53, RDS, IAM)
3. Utilize programming languages like Node.js, Java, Angular. Open-Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services
4. Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
5. Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.
6. Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of People achieve financial empowerment.
7. Leverage jQuery to handling inputs and outputs from database
8. Effective Client communication
9. Should be able to work on both Backend and Frontend technologies like NodeJS and AngularJS
Required Qualifications:
Must Have:
• Overall software development experience is 7+
• 6+ years of Handson experience in Node.js, REST API, 12-factor microservice principles.
• 3+ years’ experience in writing Node JS unit tests using Jest and Mocha
• 2+ years of experience on Node.JS V10 version.
• 3+ year of hands-on experience in jQuery, Jscript
• 2+ years of work experience in handling database using NodeJS.
• 3+ years Hands on experience on AWS ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3 and SQS
• Experience in Agile practices.
Preferred:
• Experience in Financial Domain.
• Handson experience in working with AngularJS 11+
• Handson experience in Java
• Experience in writing unit tests using Jasmine, Karma, Junit, Mockito
• People management experience
• Must be analytical, good team player and self-motivated
• Handson on experience/Knowledge in AWS Fargate
