Senior Java FSE with AWS (Hybrid)
We are seeking a highly skilled Java FSE with AWS with 7 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS SQL Spring Boot Java Spring MVC and mySQL.
This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects contributing to the companys growth and innovation. The position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Austin,TX (Hybrid)

Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
- Design and implement scalable and secure applications on AWS.
- Write efficient SQL queries and manage databases using mySQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
- Document software designs and development processes for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Possess strong experience in AWS demonstrating the ability to design and deploy applications on the platform.
- Have extensive knowledge of SQL and mySQL with the ability to write complex queries and manage databases effectively.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java Spring Boot and Spring MVC showcasing the ability to develop robust and scalable applications.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Show strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
- Have a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with new technologies.
- Display the ability to mentor and guide junior team members fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until 5/20/2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $81K – $135K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
