Inventory Specialist (AR Immersive Specialist)

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Mountain View, CA.

As an AR Immersive Specialist, you will make an impact by handling inventory & Device Management. The role requires Inventory work and strong technical troubleshooting skills. The role is suited for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and eager to support the Immersive operations for our client. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant team and work collaboratively with stakeholders and other teams.

As this is an onsite role in a client office, we are looking for a candidate who understands the client-vendor relationship and possesses a professional attitude and excellent work ethic. Certain schedule requirements may apply.

In this role, you will:

1. Device Lifecycle Management

  • Handle device intake, maintenance, and system updates to ensure accurate records
  • Perform flashing, calibration, and setup according to specifications
  • Maintain user support documentation and device condition assessments for compliance

2. User Support & Experience

  • Deliver hands-on troubleshooting and 1-on-1 support for users
  • Enhance front desk operations and improve the customer/user experience
  • Provide technical assistance across hardware bug triage, fault analysis, and QA checks

3. Inventory & Logistics

  • Manage inbound/outbound shipments, packing, and labeling (international & domestic)
  • Conduct physical stock audits and investigate discrepancies
  • Organize inventory spaces and ensure accurate stock records via workflow and ticketing systems

4. Project & Cross-Team Support

  • Support multiple teams and projects, including device intake/return workflows
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve device and inventory issues
  • Create scripts for diagnostics and troubleshooting to streamline operations

5. Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Adhere to all procedures and best practices for world-class device management
  • Demonstrate discipline in meeting schedules, completing tasks, and pursuing training/certifications
  • Ensure consistency, accountability, and a positive team-oriented work culture

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Experience in Logistics/Inventory management processes
  • Able to lift up to 50 Pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working in digital/technology companies with tech products
  • Have a strong understanding and passion for technology and enjoy keeping up to date on the current trends
  • Knowledge and interest in Artificial Reality/ Virtual Reality
  • High School Diploma

Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $19.00 - $21.60 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
