Job summary

Sr. Associate Legal Administrative Assistant / The Nearshore Legal Group at Cognizant is seeking in Latin America a detail-oriented and organized Legal Administrative Assistant to support our dynamic team. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks to ensure efficient operation and support of the legal departments activities.


Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the legal team including managing calendars scheduling meetings onboarding activities and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Assist with the coordination of legal documents contracts and correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize legal files both electronic and paper (as applicable) ensuring confidentiality and proper record-keeping.
  • Handle communication with internal teams and external parties.
  • Support the legal team with research data entry and the creation of reports as needed.
  • Manage reports and processes for the legal department.
  • Offer assistance to various groups within the legal organization in handling subpoenas and coordinating other activities related to the legal organization as directed.

  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar role preferably within a legal setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and top English skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal management software is a major plus.
  • Familiarity with legal documents and terminology is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural workplace environment.
