Lead Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Automation Test Engineer , The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Jenkins, Scrum, Java, TestNG, Jira, Selenium, Maven, and PL/SQL, along with domain expertise in Retail Banking and Cards & Payments. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the highest quality standards in our projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the quality assurance efforts for projects within the Retail Banking and Cards & Payments domains.

- Oversee the implementation of testing frameworks using Jenkins, TestNG, and Selenium to ensure robust and reliable software.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quality engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to define and implement quality standards.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using tools like Selenium, Appium, and other relevant frameworks.

-Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

-Perform cloud testing on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to ensure the scalability and reliability of applications.

-Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

-Participate in transformation initiatives to improve testing processes, including the adoption of new tools and technologies.

-Ensure that automated tests are executed as part of the build and deployment process, and that test results are accurately reported.

-Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.

- Utilize Jira for tracking and managing defects, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.

- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices.

- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on automation best practices and tools.

Key Skills and Experience :

- Possess extensive experience in Jenkins, TestNG, and Selenium for automated testing.

- Bring domain knowledge in Retail Banking and Cards & Payments to ensure relevant and effective testing.

-Strong experience in developing automated tests for web and mobile applications using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.

-Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

-Experience with cloud testing on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

-Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
