Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Defect Tracking Tools such as JIRA Test Management Tools like TOSCA DI ANSI SQL Oracle 12C/19C Manual Data Testing and ETL Validation. Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of software solutions using Defect Tracking Tools like JIRA.
- Oversee the use of Test Management Tools such as TOSCA DI to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Provide expertise in ANSI SQL and Oracle 12C/19C for database management and optimization.
- Conduct Manual Data Testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Perform ETL Validation to ensure data is correctly extracted transformed and loaded.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation for software development processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Qualifications
- Possess a strong understanding of Defect Tracking Tools such as JIRA.
- Have hands-on experience with Test Management Tools like TOSCA DI.
- Demonstrate proficiency in ANSI SQL and Oracle 12C/19C.
- Exhibit expertise in Manual Data Testing and ETL Validation.
- Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English (Read/Write Speak).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
- Minimum of 8 years and maximum of 12 years of relevant experience.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $90000 - $125000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
