Senior Automation Engineer

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer, to join our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. If you meet our background requirements and skills and are seeking an opportunity with these skills and expertise, here is the ideal opportunity for you!

The role:

As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of a team that handles the entire development process of the application, working across multiple functions. While each team member has their own set of abilities, they are also encouraged to learn and contribute to areas outside of their primary expertise.

The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. We value your contributions as an individual, and we expect you to have excellent social skills.

Location: Lansdale, PA- (Onsite) Work in a shift rotation that operates in 24x7x365

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software.
  • Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and other collaborators.
  • Develop technical documents, including design specification, user manuals, and operational procedures.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
  • Tackle, maintain, and upgrade existing control systems.
  • Participate in project management and project coordination.
  • Supervise and analyze system performance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Apply proven practices, standards, and procedures related to automation systems.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of evolving automation technologies
  • Work in a shift rotation that operates in 24x7x365

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science or Bio-Process Engineering, or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant automation life science manufacturing experience

Work Authorization
