Senior Insurance Rating BA

As a Senior Rating BA, you will make an impact by managing impactful insurance solutions. You'll coordinate with customers to capture requirements, build rating models, and ensure flawless integrations with vendor packages. Your expertise will encourage teams to deliver innovative products, optimize processes, and improve customer experiences. You will be a valued member of the Insurance practice and work collaboratively with our Lead Product Consultant.

In this role, you will

  • Build positive relationships with diverse teams to collaboratively craft functions, configure, and implement rating algorithms, guaranteeing alignment with business needs and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with developers to integrate rating configurations, performing comprehensive test plans, including integration tests and user acceptance testing (UAT), improving quality outcomes.
  • Fix and resolve defects during the testing phases to guarantee system reliability.
  • Build and maintain clear, detailed documentation on rating configurations, business processes, and workflows.
  • Coordinate training sessions and ongoing support to users on adopting new features and functionalities.
  • Continuously manage rating systems to discover opportunities for improvement and optimization, staying abreast of industry trends and new technologies.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

  • A proven track record of 10 or more years in Guidewire Policy Center and/or Billing Center, Functional Business Scorecard, and Business Services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, JIRA, and Confluence applications.
  • Top-tier analytical skills with a dedication to process improvement and problem resolution.
  • Expert in capturing business requirements and crafting solutions that exceeds expectations organizational objectives.
  • High efficiency in implementing and managing test cases, UAT, and defect resolution.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills to engage with partners and lead successful outcomes.

What will help you stand out (preferred skills)

  • Proficient with Policy Administration Systems (PAS); Guidewire experience is an added bonus
  • Detailed understanding of Agile SCRUM methodology and business analysis methodologies; solid grasp of business analysis documentation standards.

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
