Subject Matter Expert- R2R

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Subject Matter Expert in Record to Report (R2R) with 0 to 4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Finance-Record to Report (GL) and preferably some experience in Merchandising Finance & Accounting. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site during day shifts with no travel required.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the Record to Report (R2R) process ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee the general ledger (GL) accounting activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Provide support in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial records.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement best practices in R2R processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for R2R activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on R2R processes and systems.
  • Utilize technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to financial systems and processes.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize R2R workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all R2R activities.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess a strong understanding of Finance-Record to Report (GL) processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have experience in Merchandising Finance & Accounting is a plus.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Display attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Show flexibility and adaptability in a hybrid work environment.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exhibit a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

  • Certifications Required

    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
