We are seeking on Infra Technology Specialist who act as the go-to expert on domain-related queries, including DNS, SSL/TLS, and domain registrar platforms! The ideal candidate will proactively handle risks such as domain expiration, hijacking, or loss of critical domains and work closely with SecOps & Risks team to ensure domains align with legal, industry, and interpersonal policies
In this role, you will:
- Ensure domain strategy aligns with the organization’s branding, marketing, and cybersecurity objectives.
- Act as an authority on domain-related queries, including DNS, SSL/TLS, and domain registrar platforms.
- Proactively handle risks such as domain expiration, hijacking, or loss of critical domains.
- Work closely with SecOps & Risks team to ensure domains align with legal, industry, and organizational policies.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):
- Have a minimum of 5 years expertise in handling domains, working with external registrars on ensuring Domain compliance.
- Knowledge of how DNS works, including DNS records (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.), and the DNS resolution process.
- Good grasp of networking concepts such as IP addressing, subnetting, and routing.
- Experience with configuring and handling DNS servers, such as Bluecat, Microsoft DNS, Azure DNS and Google Cloud DNS.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve DNS-related issues, using tools like nslookup, dig, and Wireshark.
- Understanding of DNS security practices, including DNSSEC (DNS Security Extensions) and measures to prevent DNS attacks like cache poisoning and DDoS attacks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate DNS management tasks.
- Knowledge of how DNS and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) interact and how to configure them to work together.
- Ability to detail DNS configurations and changes and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Experience in domain registration and renewals on time to prevent expiration or lapses.
- Experience on Service Now, onboarding and offboarding assets in CMDB.
- Certificate management knowledge for internal and external domains.
What will help you stand out (preferred skills):
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to explain business on the legal requirements for DNS.
- Experience in co-ordinating with the registrars and assist in migrating Domains.
- Nice to have experience in crafting dashboards to display the project timelines to ensure timely completion.
- Knowledge on legal terms regarding domain ownership and handling any conflicts.
- Network related certifications.
- Knowledge on websites hosting.
