Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infra Ops Specialist with 12 to 16 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure SQL PaaS Database and SQL and Azure SQL DB along with domain experience in Life and Annuities Insurance. This hybrid role requires a day shift commitment and does not involve travel.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the management and optimization of Azure SQL PaaS environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Oversee the administration of databases and SQL servers ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure SQL DB to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Implement best practices for database design development and deployment to enhance system efficiency.
  • Monitor database performance and conduct regular maintenance to prevent downtime and data loss.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions with other applications and systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations particularly in the Life and Annuities Insurance domain.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Train and mentor junior team members on database management and Azure SQL technologies.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and Azure services to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the companys goals by ensuring robust and reliable database operations positively impacting customer satisfaction and business outcomes.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess extensive experience in managing Azure SQL PaaS environments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in database and SQL server administration.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of Azure SQL DB and its functionalities.
  • Bring domain expertise in Life and Annuities Insurance.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Show a commitment to maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Display excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Have a proactive approach to monitoring and maintaining database performance.
  • Be adept at developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Possess the ability to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Be experienced in planning and executing disaster recovery strategies.

    Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
