Mapping System Specialist

Work model: hybrid (2 days from the office in Cracow)

The Mapping System Specialist is a domain specific subject-matter expert in functionality, features, and purpose of tools, applications, and infrastructure. The main focus of which is the process improvement/optimization by utilizing existing tools or programming skills, suggesting better configuration, additional features or functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Optimization of existing workflow by automating repetitive manual tasks and procedures,
  • Utilize GIS skills to support the geo data processing lifecycle,
  • Triage and debug complex issues impeding client, providers and users, handling escalations,
  • Support agents by creating or optimizing configurations to improve daily workflows,
  • Daily effective collaboration with data providers, engineers and other stakeholders,
  • Use programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Appscript and different data science packages & frameworks for developing and implementation process improvement solutions or new features,
  • Leverage Machine Learning and artificial intelligence to continually improve system tooling and workflows,
  • Preparing analytical reports and presentations for client and other stakeholders,

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience with similar responsibilities,
  • Basic GIS knowledge,
  • Knowledge of English on at least B2 level,
  • Practical experience using Python, SQL, Javascript, Appscript, Looker Studio (great advantage if all listed),
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business,
  • Technological savviness - with knowledge of troubleshooting steps,
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Attention to detail,
  • Self-motivated and able to work with tight deadlines,
  • Ability to find innovative solutions and improvements
